Terms & Conditions
Appointments
Appointments are booked specifically for you. Initial consultations and follow-up appointments have different time allocations, which will be explained when you book. If you arrive late, I’ll always do my best to help, but your appointment may need to be shortened to avoid impacting other patients.
Cancellations & Missed Appointments
I kindly ask for at least 48 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment. Late cancellations or missed appointments may be charged, as this time cannot usually be offered to another patient. I understand that genuine emergencies happen and will always aim to be fair and reasonable.
Fees & Payment
Fees for consultations and treatments are explained at the time of booking. The fee for an Initial consultation will be payable upon booking. Payment for a standard treatment is due on the day of your appointment. I accept card payments. Fees may be subject to change, however advanced notice will be given.
Children & Young People
Patients under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian, who is responsible for providing consent and attending appointments where required.
Right to Refuse or Discontinue Care
I reserve the right to refuse or discontinue care if treatment is not clinically appropriate, if consent is withdrawn, or if safety or professional boundaries are compromised. Any such decision will be explained respectfully.
Changes to These Terms
These Terms & Conditions may be updated from time to time. The most current version will always be available here at the TM Chiropractic Website
Consent to Chiropractic Care
What to Expect
Chiropractic care involves a case history, physical examination, and hands-on treatment where appropriate. I will always explain what I am recommending, why, and what to expect.
Informed Consent
You are encouraged to ask questions at any time. Your consent will be obtained before treatment begins and is ongoing — you may withdraw consent or ask to stop treatment at any point.
Where appropriate, I may also discuss alternative options, including self-care, no treatment, or referral to another healthcare professional.
Expected Responses & Risks
Most people respond well to treatment, though some may experience temporary soreness or stiffness, similar to post-exercise discomfort. I will discuss any relevant risks with you before treatment. If you experience anything unexpected or concerning, please let me know as soon as possible.
Results & Limitations
While chiropractic care helps many people, results cannot be guaranteed. If I feel chiropractic care is not suitable for you, I will explain this and discuss alternative options.
Patient Responsibility
For your safety, it’s important that the information you provide is accurate and complete. Please let me know about any changes to your health, symptoms, medications, or if you become pregnant during the course of your care.
Collaborative Care Statement
My aim is to work collaboratively with you, respecting your preferences, values, and decisions at all times.
Privacy & Confidentiality Policy
